How does Persepolis relate to White?
Persepolis is a perfect example of White describing that all stories are narratives and how they all have a point a view. Though that is not hard to determine since Persepolis is a biography. Even though it is a biography it still shows that all stories that have something to say has a specific view point and that if it was told by someone else the story would be different. Since that person would have there own viewpoint.

How does Persepolis enforce whites opinion that all stories are understandable by all cultures?

The author grew up in Iran and we are reading the story in the US. We are able to relate to the story. This proves that it doesn't matter who is writing the story or what country or what background the story came from. It can be universally understood by different cultures.

Why was the art in V for Vendetta drawn so detailed and given and dark feel to it?





V for Vendetta was drawn so detailed because it want to be as realistic as possible showing you that a reality where the government has total control over your life. It was also given a dark feel to it to emphize how corrupt and the government is. There is no real place to give an example of this since the entire story is given a this dark feel to it making it seem like something is wrong.





What is the meaning behind Adam Susan (The Leader) speech on page 37 and 38 and how does his point of view compare to V's?





The Leader explains how the world needs control that without it the world would go into a state of chaos. This tells me that The Leader had good intentions when setting up the current goverment. Since he built his government from a world that was in chaos. It is understandable how he thinks that any bit of freedom could go lead to the destruction of his government. On the other hand V goes the other direction stating that the world needs to be plunged into anarchy so people can have freedom and have a choice on what type of government they have. The Leader has put so many restrictions on his people. Since he fears that if people had freedom it would eventually lead to people being no longer having morals since morals are another form of restrictions and without morals people would steal, kill, rape etc.. . I think that Moore and Lloyd are showing you both extremes of the world and how there needs to be a balance between them.

Maus+White

In the graphic novel Maus Art Speigalman uses animals to portray his charcters(mice are Jews, cats are Nazis, pigs are polish). I feel that this gives the reader a way to put themselves as the charcter in the story. Unlike other stories of the holocaust where authors try to make the people more realistic so you can relate to them better. Speigalman goes one step further and makes them animals which instead of relating to the charcters makes it easier to put yourself in the characters place.
